50's airplanes

Yesterday I was reading a book about vintage men's magazines and saw this gorgeus girl... (I love her gloves.. and shoes..)

Later I found these cute miniature airplanes from the 50's. I'm considering making them into brooches or maybe a necklace with little airplane charms.. What do you think?
