My own crown creations

Here is a few of the hats and fascinators I've made during the years.. I've made many more for friends and family and I've sold a few as well -but these are mine.
Please excuse the poor quality photos they're from my Iphone, my regular camera isn't working:(

These are the ones I use the most, there are many more..
(Including a leopard one that will be featured in the next post...)

The newest and my favorite at the moment! A black base made from lightweight wool overlaid with black dotted tulle and adorned with yellow grosgain ribbon.

Black straw, cherry blossoms and vintage dotted veil...

Dotted tulle, rosy satin and pearl...

Made from quilted satin and mink tails. I wore this for Christmas last year.

The french maid...

I made this for Easter.

..me wearing it... Excuse the no make up face... also seeing myself without earrings makes me feel naked...

Cute as a button

Just a quick post today I'm working on a big hat post so stay tuned...
In the mean time here are some of my favorite vintage sewing accessory finds.
They're still waiting for the perfect projects...

I just looove the wolf/fox heads! I imagine they would be great on a knitted cardigan... Alas I'm not much of a knitter so they will probably end on up a fitted peplum jacket...
As for the beaded swallow and the white bead 40's bows I have to find something very special.

Slowly....

I'm getting there... Felt so uninspired... -but Spring has sprung and after a few days in the summerhouse and a happy family Easter I begin to feel the inspiration coming back...
Thank you for your patience and kind words -I've been keeping an eye on your blogs but I still have a lot of reading to do;)
Here I am behind the fan with my favorite earrings...
