I've never been good at watching series on TV. The only one I've ever watched every episode of was LOST. Everyone has been telling me to watch Mad Men but I never really got into it (not really fair since I've only watched one episode..) but now I've fallen for Boardwalk Empire...
I watched the first episode when I was on holiday in the States and I've been hooked ever since, I mean, what's not to love? -the roaring 20's, AMAZING costumes (both the ladies and the gents!), gansters and Steve Buscemi.....
Now there is one image in particular I cannot get out of my head -this one:
My favorite color for Fall and ermine!
Now sadly I have no money to spend on something as wonderful as vintage ermine fur right now -all I have is a 50's vintage ermine headband I found in San Diego and I do not have any golden, mustard velvet but I do have a marvelous shirt of that color. Guess it'll have to do for now.
Well once again fashion isn't really doing anything that nature hasn't already done, just look at this amazing Ermine Moth.... Perfect color combo!
Guess what's on my list for Christmas... Ermine scarves! or money to make my own...
I am like you, I have only watch the first episode of Mad men, and I have fallen in love with the series: the atmosphere, the fashion...the script is soooooo good.
ReplyDeleteI think that I have also fallen in love with your blouse: thec colour, the small pleats, the embroidery.Sometimes we have real treasures at home that we only valued when seen elsewhere.
I love you post.
